Skin Care
Daily skin treatment is an essential part of restoring and maintaining a healthy and more youthful appearance.
Many products are available over the counter (OTC) or by prescription through physician’s offices. The basic principle is to exfoliate the superficial layers of skin cells, which show the effects of aging and sun damage. This process reduces the appearance of rhytids (wrinkles) and age spots. Bleaching creams or lotions may be used to fade dark pigmented spots. The degree of exfoliation varies from superficial to deep depending on the use of chemical peel solution or laser.
Dr. Nickodem can assess your skin type and determine what approach would give you the most desirable results.
